Capturing the High-Energy Excitement of Hockey with animation that melts the ice

1.

We had the exciting opportunity to work on the TVA's , "L'Après-match LNH," which sought to bring the fast-paced and high-energy nature of hockey to life through dynamic visuals and engaging animations. We wanted to create an opening sequence that would captivate the audience and keep them on the edge of their seat, while also allowing for flexibility to incorporate new footage each week.

2.

We utilized a combination of 3D elements, video, and photography to create dynamic compositions that were in a constant state of motion, perfectly reflecting the fast-paced nature of the game of hockey. For the animation, we primarily used Cinema 4D, and for the final shot where the ice comes off the skates, we turned to Houdini for its powerful simulation capabilities.

3.

One of the key benefits of our approach was the flexibility it provided. We designed the sequence to allow for easy tweaks each week, such as incorporating new team names and footage from the most recent game coverage. As a result, the sequence remained fresh and engaging throughout the entire season, keeping viewers eagerly anticipating each new episode of AMLNH
